He was born in Fort Worth, USA on February 17, 1972, and started his career as a drummer in local bands before joining Alanis Morissette’s band in 1995. Later on, he became the drummer for the band Sylvia.
In 1997, he received an offer from Dave Grohl to join Foo Fighters and he has been a member ever since. Tay is popular for his energetic and classic drumming style. He won many awards and nominations for his performance and contribution to music. He died in Bogota, Colombia on March 25, 2022.

He was born on February 17, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. He was interested in music since his childhood and often played drums. His parents got separated and then he moved to Laguna Beach, California with his mother.
He joined several local bands and showed her skills as a drummer due to which he made a reputation among local bands. He worked initially as a delivery boy and surfboard maker to earn money but he continued his music journey. In 1995, He received an offer to tour with Canadian singer “Alanis Morissette” as a drummer.
He completed this tour successfully and returned to California and started to continue his career with a local band and then he joined Foo Fighters Band in 1997 in Bogota, Colombia. On March 25, 2022, his journey came to an end and he died in Bogota, Colombia.

He faced challenges several times during his career as a drummer. He was short of money but also he was a drug addict. One day, he took heroin in high amounts and shifted to hospital and was in come for almost 2 weeks in London.
