Mingyu was a gifted and intelligent child who began his educational journey from
Anyang Buan Elementary School. After his initial education, he was a student at Burim Middle School. Kim started training to be an idol with Pledis Entertainment when was just a teenage boy. He continued his studies while training hard and graduated from Seoul Broadcasting High School in 2016. Mingyu did not stop there and was admitted to the Dong-Ah Institute Of Media And Arts.
